Great independent hotel, no purpose built chain premises. It's 3 mile from M25 , has free parking, 5 min walk to Gidea Pk tube. Opposite a fine micro pub and 2 Indian restaurants , with popular traditional pub almost next door. Very reasonable prices and sort of place we should support and help survive.

Night from hell!! Terrible service, I booked a room with my friends at about 2am after being on a night out, I called before we got there and spoke to a man named Tobi he said but the receipt has the name of Stefano I mentioned I would be coming with friends but they weren’t sleeping there and he said that was fine. We’ve got there and ended up booking a double room as only two people were staying and he was fine with it. The heating didn’t work and we were freezing, the man at reception then started to call me and tell me that we need to leave or he was calling the police. After trying to speak to him or the manager he kept telling us no he can’t call his manager and they don’t want to speak to us, he also started raising his voice at us. He then verbally agreed and gave me a written and signed confirmation that we would be refunded for the room as we were told to leave after 4 hours. To now find out we’ve been banned as we brought people and were noisy and there will be no refund of any sort not even damage deposit when nothing was damaged. If it wasn’t fine to take people there we never would have but we wasn’t told, we also wasn’t told about any noise complaints while we were there.I’m not worried about being banned it was horrid there. Avoid at all costs!!

Staff where great, polite and friendly but the 'Superior' room was appalling, plumbing, bad, room scruffy and tiny as was shower room & toilet, no sensible cupboards or drawers for cloths at all, stayed for 3 nights, no hot water at all 2nd night or heating (-2°C) outside, room was very cold, complained to night porter who offered an electric heater as he could not turn heating on until 05.00 at the owner was making cut backs because of the rise in cost of electricity!!!! 3rd night no hot water, no shower, complained again, manager offered change of room from room 18 to room 11, room 11 was a vaste improvement and, as we were told, we could have been given that room in the first place when we originally booked. Very disappointed. Would we use this hotel again, we wait and see, as things stand today, no. OK for workmen to stay at but for professional or, if like us travelling from France to attend a funeral in Romford, then you may want to think twice. Thank you staff for your friendliness.

Stayed here a few times over the years when visiting family locally. It's been renovated since we last stayed to a high standard. The staff were very friendly. Would strongly recommend

This hotel is within walking distance to Romford Town centre, its opposite a "Micro pub"", A Harvester, an Indian restaurant, and a few other pubs, "The Archers, and The Ship". One of the rooms was rather small and compact....but if you're only staying gor a few days,it does nicely.....although I think £10 for a breakfast ontopof the room price is a bit much,plus the breakfast wasn't all that...

Stayed here recently whilst visiting family nearby. The rooms were lovely, clean & comfortable and the breakfast was really lovely. Happy to revisit & to recommend.

L'hotel se situe dans une rue passante mais dans un quartier relativement calme et résidentiel. L'accès à la chambre supérieur se faisait à l'extérieur de la chambre par des escaliers étroits. Cet hotel ne convient pas aux handicapés. Aux alentours de l'hotel, il y a des commerces pour se restaurer. Un arrêt de bus se situe au pied de l'hotel et la gare Gidea Park station est à 10min à pieds

Guidea Park Hotel is fantastic. Smart enough to demand respect and relaxed enough to kick back. I must commend the excellent staff, they are the cogs that keep this most efficient machine running, and they all do it with a lovely smile on their face. It wasnt until my second to last day that I realized Guidea Park Station is a 10min walk away, VERY convenient. All in all I cannot imagine getting better value for my money.

Stayed here to attend a concert due to location and couldn't fault. You get what you pay for, the rooms were clean and linen fresh (extra pillow a bonus), location is great for transport into London. As it is an old building the floorboards were quite creaky so did disturb how long it took to get to sleep but once I did I was out for the count! Would recommend for a great location and friendly service.
